Fairhand

Planners for pen tablets

Think in ink.
Hand it off.

Pages designed to be thought on by hand, then handed to your AI assistant.

Fairhand makes hyperlinked PDF diaries and planners for the reMarkable, Montblanc Digital Paper and iPad. You plan the week with a pen on Monday and review it in a few written lines on Friday. Then you export or photograph the page, paste the prompt printed on it into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot, and your assistant reads it back and drafts the next step.

Tested on reMarkable 2, Paper Pure and Paper Pro, Montblanc Digital Paper and iPad (GoodNotes, Notability and Noteshelf).

The Year Page of the 2027 Diary: the headline for the year, what success looks like, the four quarters, what to stop doing and the numbers to watch.

How it works

A pen is slow, and the slowness makes you choose.

The assistant is good at everything after that.

  1. Write it by handPlan and review on the page with your pen. Nothing is typed.
  2. Export or photograph the pageExport it from your device app, or take a straight photograph in good light.
  3. Paste the prompt printed on the pageChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot reads your handwriting back and drafts the next step. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you send it.

The week

Plan on Monday. Review on Friday.

Each review is written against the plan above it, so the assistant reads what you meant to do next to what happened.

The Friday review page.

  • Three editions. UK bank holidays, US federal holidays, and a worldwide edition with no holidays.
  • Monday or Sunday start. The Monday-start edition carries ISO week numbers, the same as Outlook.
  • Both hands. The tabs sit on the side away from your writing hand.
  • Three themes. Graphite for e-ink; Ink and Brass and Sage and Stone for colour screens and iPad.
  • The Handoff card. A prompt for each review, printed in the diary and kept up to date on this site.

Privacy

Nothing is sent anywhere unless you send it.

The pages are PDFs on your own device. A page reaches an AI assistant only when you export or photograph it and attach it yourself, under that provider's terms.
